Online user meetings take place quarterly. In about an hour we will show new or particularly interesting topics related to electromagnetic or multiphysics simulation with Simcenter 3D and the Magnetics Solver. We would be happy to discuss your wishes or your special applications with you. Below you will find an overview of the currently planned follow-up dates

• July 25, 2025, 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM (CEST / UTC+2). New feature: Strong coupling electromagnetics with structural elasticity. When mechanical vibrations or deformations occur in current-carrying conductors, they influence the electromagnetic behavior. This should be taken into account in simulations. Two effects are significant: on the one hand, the deformations change the distance between multiple conductors; on the other hand, the velocity of motion causes damping forces. We demonstrate how this can be accurately simulated using a three-conductor example — that is, a transient solution involving electromagnetics, structural mechanics, and their particularly strong coupling.
