Filament Thermionic Emission

This chapter shows different models how thermionic emission can be simulated with NX Magnetics. They all are shown with a filament model.

The following thermionic emission models are available:

The models are already build and ready to solve. Their content and the used features allow getting insight in the methods for thermionic emission usage.

  1. Download the model files for this tutorial from the following link:
    https://www.magnetics.de/downloads/Tutorials/11.CouplParticle/11.3Filament.zip

  2. Start the Program Simcenter image (or NX). Use Version 13 or higher.

  3. Open image the file ’Filament_sim1.sim’ and click OK.

Richardson-Dusham’s Law

Check the solution ’ElSta_Pic_Richardson’. It shows the usage of thermionic emission using Richardson-Dusham’s model. Check the simulation object ’Particle Object Richardson’.

Child’s Law
